As a general rule pure polymers made from a single substance are rare in automotive applications. Most polymeric materials contain additives such as flame retardants, pigments, UV protectants, plasticizers, or impact modifiers. Your material consists of only one substance.
Action Required:
If you are not the manufacturer of the material, check with the manufacturer of the material regarding the substances present in the material. If necessary, obtain an updated MDS reflecting all the substances in the material. If you are the manufacturer of the material, double check the substances present in your material. If the material is really a single substance polymer, include a remark in the material affirming that the material contains a single substance to avoid rejection as the material passes from tier to tier along the supply chain.
